I'm curious if anyone remembers UCONN having 2 players reach milestones in the same game?
Today both Kelly and KML made it to the 1,000 point mark. And Kelly got 500 assists.
Maybe it's happened before but I don't remember it. Anyone with a better memory than me?

The 1,000-point mark, yes, I think once or twice previously.

Another milestone: Geno's 400th Big East win. Among active coaches, only Tara has that many in a single conference.

Kaleena was the 3rd fastest to 1,000. About 9 games behind Maya and 1 behind Sveta. I think she finishes between Tina and Maya--a couple of NPOYs--on the career list. The question then is will Stewie catch her?

According to John A. you are correct except for the date.

Only once in UConn history have two players scored their 1,000th point in the same game. Carla Berube and Nykesha Sales did so Nov. 18, 1998 against Western Kentucky at Stanford’s Maples Pavilion.

Of course John never makes mistakes...

Also this...

First time a senior [Faris] scored her 1,000th on Senior Day since Ashley Battle in 2005

Love that Kelly got her 500th assist in this game too - 1000th point and 500th assist came on back to back offensive sets with the assist going to fellow 'senior' Heather. Of the two, Kelly was probably more excited about the assist!

OT -
On I think Heather's last basket, a lay-up as she was moving (pushed?) to the right that you saw a glimmer of her skill around the basket - it was not an easy shot and she added some english to make it a clean bank. I don't know exactly why it happened, but she really bottled up her offensive skills during her four years here. In HS she had a lot of offensive success with the inside work and her nice 10-12 ft jumper. She lost confidence and except for a few glimpses over the years we never saw as much offense from her as I think she was capable of. She has been a great teammate though and seems to have taken a lot of good stuff from her Uconn experience.
