thanks
Geno started the show with Bob Joyce but they were later joined by Elliot, the recently released CT Post beat writer

Team is getting better with the defense.
Getting contributions from several players; that is good and bad; good in the sense that the team has multiple options; but sometimes he wished one of the players, like Stewart, will dominate.
At some point at the SMU game, he cheered for the SMU player when she shot the three.

Made a joke about returning to Gampel for next 2 games saying that he has heard it is a great place to play
On the short Cincinnati bench due to injuries, Geno says sometimes when you have a short bench say 7 players, that is ideal; like last year's team. Their chemistry was great. It is difficult when you have 10 or 12 players and each wants to play regardless of how they practice.
Playing time is earned at practice. For those who say that a player is not practicing well but put her in the game anyway then what will be reason for practice. You might as well pick names out of a hat during game day to decide who plays.

They learned from the last game that he cannot play just the bench at the same time because the chemistry among them is very poor. They have to have at least one starter like Moriah, Kia or Stewie with them.

A lot of time was spent on a banter among the three. Elliot had opportunity to reminisce the time he spent covering the Huskies. He was asked to pick his all time top 10 among the players he covered. He started mentioning the usual suspects but was reminded by Geno that he was leaving this one out and that one..eventually gave up. Elliot's best team was the 2001-02 featuring Sue, Tamika, Swin, Asja, Diana, Jessica Moore, etc...
Ashley Battle was called "running on skates" or something to that effect because she was so fast that when she missed a steal, she could not stop herself. She however became a good, dependable, tough player by her final year and had good pro career.
They talked about good places they could eat on the road in the old Big East. Geno is impressed with some of the eating places in the American, like Tulane, Memphis, Louisiana.

I was thinking that too. Some cool places to visit. Much better than Rhode Island or Jersey.

And thanks for the update Don.

Stewart is dominating.

Relying on 7 players is OK as long as a key player doesn't get hurt...

R.I. may not be a resort area, but for food it's hard to top the Italian restaurants in the Federal Hill area of Providence - truly world class. I wouldn't know about this "Little Italy" area if it weren't for UCONN WBB and driving over to see the Huskies play.

There you have it, a clear recruiting edge for the AAC.

I'm sure the Italian is great, but I just prefer ribs, brisket, cajun, etc.
