Would a Puke loss to Lehigh ease the disappointment from last night?

Seth Davis on TNT going on an on about what a great coaching job Coach K did.

Wonder if they'd do that if Calhoun went down to a 15 seed.

Purdue/St.Mary's 1 pt game under a minute. This tourney's got some juice now.

Absolutely eases the disappointment.

Also love seeing that pouty face that K & Collins get when they lose.

Congrats to Lehigh. Tremendous performance. And a nice gift to the rest of the country. :D

Seth Davis' head is stuck so far up Coach Kraponhisfaceski's ass it's hard to tell who's speaking when K opens his mouth.

Wait, seriously, I just turned it off. He just had a 2 seed lose to a 15 seed and quite honestly, the 15 seed was up most of the game. The only thing good about K's coaching job was that it wasn't a blowout.

Wooooooooooooooooo!!!!! That is all

Lehigh proved what most of already believed. That Dook was grossly overrated.

I really wrested with my brackets this year, especially with the ACC teams. I thought the Dook wouldn't be around that long, but didn't expect a first round exit. UNC with or without Henson is also overrated and struggled as to when and if I would bounce them from the tourney.

On a loosely related note, this game looked like a overrated team was beaten by an okay team, while Mizzu, one of the most talented teams in the field, was blitz by a very good team that played the game of their lives. In dook's case, their fans new it was not one of their best teams and they weren't going to go very far. But in Mizzu's case, this was one of their best teams ever with great expectations of making -4. They're not a program that gets there very often and this one's gotta sting. I don't know a lot of Mizzu's history, but this is not the first time they've experienced a painful loss. They lost to UCLA back in the day on that Tius Edney end to end layup that took 4.x seconds. Didn't we beat them in a hard fought game on our way to -4, the year we lost to MSU? Or did I get that one wrong.

.-.
Jim Nantz, too. Kept going on about "It's not just a 2-seed, it's Duke! DUKE! DUKE IS GOING TO LOSE! The horror."
Makes it that much sweeter, really.

You got that one right. We beat them 82-75 in the Elite 8 in '09.

You're right about this not being the first time Mizzou's suffered painful losses. They're now the first team to lose as a 2, 3 and 4 seed.

1987 - 13) Xavier 70, 4) Mizzou 69
1990 - 14) N. Iowa 74, 3) Mizzou 71
2012 - 15) Norfolk St 86, 2) Mizzou 84

Also never been to the Final Four (I think).

Ouch! When you add the Edney dagger that ended their run in the S-16, the pain keeps on keeping. I still wonder if our first trip to -4 would have happened during Ray's final year back in the late 80s. I felt the only team that could beat us that year was that UCLA team that played our uptempo style but played it better than us.

forgive me for correcting you, but:
1. We lost to UCLA in 95, not the 80s (yes, time flies, but not THAT fast)
2. That wasn't Ray's final year, the next was (more disappointing exit as well, losing to an ok Miss St team in S16)

the 95 team got beat by the only team that could run with them

Ray was 1995.
On the side... wasn't sure if I could be happy with this tournament, but Lehigh did it for me. A dook lose (at HOME!) is almost as good as a win by us.

Heck yeah. Watching Duke, Missouri, and Michigan lose made our loss less painful.
