Worst national anthem ever?

a less than stellar effort - although there was a lot of effort, just not a lot backing that effort up.
Yeesh

I think she practiced all week listening to the guy from Jeckyl and Hyde at the Yankee opening day. Best thing about was the photo cut to Jeff Walz trying to sing the National Anthem during the self-indulgent performance by the guest performer.

As I said in the game thread Maya and Kaili would have been better.

I think it was a health issue. the girl was suffering from 'constipation'.

With all due respect - NOT!!!! Cover dog's ears before playing.

Yes, of course, second worst.
As my father would say: that girl couldn't carry a tune in a hand basket.

But no one ever was tempted to take Roseanne seriously.

Not quite the worst, merely disgustingly competitive for that distinction.

Not so good but my daughter met her (and Sue Wicks) and they were very nice to her, so she gets a pass from me.

I thought it was fine. Having a women's BB player sing the anthem made some sense. I marveled at her courage in singing a difficult song before a large crowd even though she isn't a professional singer.

I always have a problem when a singer makes the national anthem about them instead of it's intended purpose.
Bingo it is the people's song. We are a nation of the people, for the people and by the people. Stay out of the way and lead the people in singing it.

I was thinking how damn uninspiring it would be to be a player listening to this prior to the game.

I hate all the warbles that some people do. Stick to the tune man. It ain't freelance.

Best part was seeing the CHAMPIONS in national flag blue properly honoring the flag with hands of over hearts. :)
I agree with you on this one. it made me proud to see the UConn players, every one of them, with their hand over their heart, and it ticked me off to see the U of L players holding each others hands. Yeah, I get the solidarity thing, but it's the National Anthem, even if it is unrecognizable the way it's being sung...
