UConn fans have rarely experienced this type of team in a long time but I do think people are forgetting the years between 04 and 08 produced some less than stellar performances as the program was between DT and Maya. This roster has some deficiencies compared with UConn of the past decade plus but is still a very good team, albeit one that is still a work in progress. This season has shown so far that even the top teams have been pushed or beaten on certain nights against lesser foes. While in some ways it can be frustrating for fans of those teams I also think it makes the year more exciting because we don't know who is going rise to the top in March. I figured this season was all about Baylor and Oregon before it started and while I still think it's likely one of those wins the NC, I see there are other contenders as well and both of those teams have their own deficiencies to make up.
