From his pressor:

"These young guys are really talented...And they play hard.
They have no choice because
If you have a bad practice or shoot around and you don't make use of your minutes
the guy next to you is just as good or better."

(I may have gotten a word or two incorrect in my transcription)

The story of our early season.

So far UCONN is enjoying the euphoria of subs going in and out of the game freely and being positive replacements without and decrease in scoring and defending. When the walking wounded get back Uconn will be able to put 3 capable teams on the floor and score at will. the BIGS have surpassed all expectations so far and can only get better. UCONN's future is assured for the next four years and I am as happy as a kid at Christmas time.GO) GO GO HUSKIES!!!!!

Way too early to make any pronouncements about the state of this year's team...........the UNC game will start to give some indication about how far along they are.......the good/bad news is UConn has the luxury of knowing that they won't have many problems with Big East teams this season..........;)

I agree. Too early to know how good the team is but not too early to know that if team health stays good, it will be a major upset for them to lose a Big East game.

Have you seen the teams that UNC has played so far, Charleston Southern 83-53, UNC Wilmington 77-50 and NC A&T 66-47. Massey had the teams rated at the time of tip off as 347, 346, and 223 respectively. Boston lost 88-32 and was rated 205 and USF lost 86-49 and was rated 71 at the time UConn played them. According to ESPN Analytics UConn has 98% chance of winning.

USF is actually a very good team.

They almost always are but... If they are the best team in the AAC, can you imagine what our conference games would look like if we were still there?? Basically almost all like glorified exhibition games. I'm not sure how much better the BE will be this season, but it has to be a lot better than the American...

You play who you play...........it's not like UConn has played anybody that's ranked up till now.........UNC has some solid talent and a lot of size.......UConn should be significantly favored but it wouldn't surprise me to see the Tar Heels put up a decent fight......

I don’t know. Very early in this season BE teams have already chalked up losses to San Jose St, SD St, Princeton, Columbia and UCF. Marquette is 0-2, and UConn’s win over USF is about the highest quality win so far.

Roughly the same quality LSU had played two years ago, and lots of the Boneyard said they couldn’t be any good because of the patsy schedule. Right up til they won the national championship.

UNC has some good players. Let’s not judge them by the quality of their opponents.

I have a hunch that the UConn game has been on UNC's mind for a while and we will have a real test on Friday.

This is likely the toughest game until December and it's the first road game. I don't see Bueckers letting UConn lose. Good practice for the big road games down the road.
