A rather unfortunate 5. While I don't really have a system, when push comes to shove I generally opt for the letter with the highest Scrabble value. That failed today.

I was just playing around on that 2nd guess - jamming letters in to see what it looked like. What the heck is "TROAD"?

Other than Wordle, really off day for me yesterday. Missed first Waffle in 500+ games. Didn't get either Xordle word and was at least two moves from getting one.

I'm sitting here with a fever and that's the only explanation I have for my 3rd guess. I'd go CRANE over CRATE or CRAVE. every time
