I do things like that often. I accuse the puzzle makers of keeping tabs on our starter words and trying to come up with letters that aren’t typically used.

SICKO is a somewhat odd 2nd word choice for me. I'm not prone to making early guesses ending in a vowel, and I didn't have a gut feeling that today's solve would be one of those. And it doesn't have my usual favorite consonants. But it worked out today:

I had to try Dipso today. ‍ Sometimes, the available consonants result in unique solutions. Dipso came to my mind before Disco .

Funny thing about that... on today's xordle, I became fixated that the L went with the A and the KV with the E, and I don't know why. I lost, but the answers were so damned obvious. I think my brain is fried from the heat & humidity.
