Unless Wordle Bot is bugging out for some reason, this was, interestingly, one of the hardest words for the player base to solve, and I'm not quite sure why that would be. Wordlebot claims that the average solve round was 5.5, and half of players bombed out.

I don’t doubt it. A friend I play with who is very smart (and a federal judge) bombed out on this one.

I believe it. Starts with a vowel, has two of same vowel plus another. Other "ager" words are still out there.

The bot is not bugging out. (Says 5.6 average now). Think that what most people tended to do after having A, E and R as you did on your second guess, was to guess the ER as the word ending (which was correct) and then guess the A as the second letter (which was also correct.)

Thats what I did, and after CAPER as my third guess, there were still 14 words left. Bot declared me both unlucky, and unskilled. Oh well
