Question for those of you who use different starter words each day. Do you rotate/randomly shamble through a bunch of favorites or do you use divine (or psychic) inspiration?

I try to guess the vowels based on recent (non)usage. It's not working this week. I have had two 1s though.

Personally, I find it more fun than using the same starter word. Although you will see me use some starter words fairly often (e.g. fluid).

So I don't really know what to expect, but our Wordle Golf group probably doesn't like my -9 over the last 18. A woman did that a few weeks ago and I thought it was impossible. Then I just did it. I think it's mostly luck and picking lucky start words.

So a new game begins tomorrow and we all use the same start word every day. Should be interesting.

Wow. That’s a weird move by the Wordle golf group. Trying to equalize the handicaps?

I don't know your exact rules (I do recall par is group average), but I recalled I had a hot streak last month. So I went back and looked it up. Between 12/5 and 12/22, if par was 4 every hole, I would've been 14 under.

I want in your league ;)

Par is often 3 and rarely 5 in our group. So the 10 under is pretty amazing. I actually assumed the woman who did it before had to be cheating, then I did it. My varied start words can be critical and I think I just had a good streak.

I think so. Trying to see how we play when someone else drives the ball perhaps? Because of my varied start words changing daily, if I get a string of words with few double letters or obscure letters, I'll score well. So of course today we have a double letter and an obscure letter.
