Final score USA wins 101-61....KML leads with 19 points...:)
FYI - KML had 19 pts at the end of the third period....could have scored lots more.....
 
Tough shooting day for Bria. She played polar opposite of how she did against Mali, although the Czech's are obviously a tougher team. Wonder if she was being double teamed of if it was just an off day.
 
And Shoni had no assists after having 9 yesterday:confused: I guess the Czech saw the game against Mali and tried to take away what they saw as the strengths of team USA but than the US scores 52 points in the paint :) and still wins by 40....
 
Interesting that the USA shots, both made and missed, overwhelmingly came from the left side.
 
A couple of other points.
Our 4 bigs aren't being overworked. My guess is they will get more time as the games become more important.
Also, short turnaround from Tuesday/tonights game at 8:30pm (Russian time) and tomorrows game vs Brazil at 12:30pm (Russian time.)
Also, on the shot charts for individual players both Plaisance#15 and Harberts #14, two of the bigs, both went 2 for 3 from the field and the shots look like from identical spots. I would be willing to guess they ran the same plays to both girls.
 
The second opponent kept Bria in Czech. :)

Kaleena used her speed to get a buzzer beater--nice!

The Czechs have 9 players whose name ends with "ova." I think their Olympic team had 11. I can't get ova that.
 
In other words, the Czechs never had a chance because the game was ova before it started.
