Again for no good reason, this seemed like a good time to again stage the contest matching up the leaders of the women's and men's teams in the NCAA stats categories that they both share. The men obviously have a huge advantage because not only have they been playing the game longer and are bigger and stronger, but they also clearly have to be much better since the NCAA keeps stats for 32 men's categories and only 18 women's.

But before you go thinking that the women are the huge underdogs and deserve a lot of pity and we all here need to do some kind of funny dance in the stands behind the backboard to make the guys mess up, I can assure you the women will march resolutely into battle behind their Husky alpha dog and give it the old college try. And they think they can steal a few events from the guys and go for the gold in the CBB Team Stats Olympics. Without further adieus:

Ooooh, ouch! That's not good. The audience is now all mad saying that they didn't get their money's worth, and that the Russians and Americans conspired to fix it all, and that some of the balls were too small and the three-point lines too close. Time to bid adieu and head for the hills.

Maybe next year the guys will come storming back.

Are you trying to imply there is more parity in Men's BB?

No - simply more mediocrity!
Or ... gee I wish the HS men's players would learn fundamentals or at least the men's college coaches would do a better job of bringing them up to speed!

I have no idea what it all means except that the men are going to be peeved off and also need to learn how to shoot FTs better. And if any of the guys' teams want to get on the blocks with the UConn women, they need to learn how to sky like the Huskies.
