Dramatic twist and Mabrey (30 points) reacts with all the class we've come to expect.

guessing this thread was made to bash Mabrey.......next

Not entirely []. Just using her beloved/accursed name to drum up a little interest in game 3. This final series has been an interesting one to watch and it's great that the WNBL streams the games. Now that we're in between NCAA and WNBA, this is a nice segue.

This particular game was back and forth the whole way... Lindsey Allen lead the Boomers with 29 to Mabrey's 30. The Lynx won at Melbourne and now the Boomers won at Perth... The Grand Final Final should be worth the watch.

The permanent chip that is lodged in Marina's shoulder will be about the size of a coffee table after the way game 2 ended, and how much do you think the Boomers want to win at home after the disappointment of game 1?

Hmm. Their own version of Holly Rowe

Rarely do folks cop to their blatant clickbait. Props for the honesty, I guess.

I feel like it works better if it's more subtle, though.

It has been a good series to watch...a very good one. And like @Orangutan , I wonder why you need to accentuate what you did: The game -- and the way the main players performed -- stood for itself. Yes, Marina missed an FT at the end, but she also nailed a three and hit two FT's in the last seconds to get it that close.

To me, the story here was Lindsey Allen going off for 29 pts and 6 assists and Cayla George went for 22. For the Lynx, Jackie Young and Garbin had 20+ in the first game and didn't shoot as well this game. Still, 10 lead changes and a battle down to the last .02. Whew.

As a Domer fan, all three of the Irish "imports" are in the finals, so couldn't be happier to tune in Saturday.

Well, the Notre Dame fans are rankled, which means you've done something right! :D

Don't know how it's "bashing" to credit someone with scoring 30 points.

She and Arike can commiserate over a beer about missing a FT to lose a very important game.

Congrats to the Melbourne Boomers for winning the WNBL Championship 84-66 over the Perth Lynx

Lindsay Allen scored 14 points and Tiff Mitchell had 16 points for the winning Boomers

J. Young had 18 points and Marina Mabrey had 12 points(5 for 5 from the FT line) for the Lynx

Just struck by how well balanced the starting 5 for Melbourne was. Melbourne was up by 27 entering 4th Q

Lindsay Allen had a fine regular season (2nd team WNBL) and great playoff run (MVP!) for the Boomers.
Let's see how she does on the Indiana Fever this year.

BTW, Allen is also an alum of St. John's College, same as one Azzi Fudd.
