I sort of thought Beards days of being a lockdown defender were already over last season. She was defensive player of the year purely on reputation. Time for her to retire as a player and take up coaching.
Vadeeva was already a good player last season, but Angler never gave her enough playing time to get in a groove. She always hustles and plays with intensity which could not be said for Lavender who he played instead.
