We are so blessed. The WNBA chooses to features eight of the best players in the sport, comparing them to some of the best ever on the male side, and half of them are UConn players.

I really like that they went back to Jerry West for Maya's comparison.

As far as they these go those were pretty good comparisons.

But Oscar Robertson would have been more apt, imho.

I very much disagree. Maya plays much more like Jerry than the methodical Oscar, and is even close physically to Jerry with Maya's long arms and large hands.

I'm not really agreeing with the Jerry West comparison. Even though he was one of my favorites growing up. Never thought of him as great athletically. I mean he had to be good to be an NBA player. He always seemed more cerebral/hard worker than a gifted physical specimen. But I was young, so maybe I don't remember so well.

Jerry West is the NBA logo. Maya should be a logo.

I agree about Parker's versatility, but she is a finesse player. LeBron can play with finesse but his hallmark is as a power player.

Parker and Lebron isn't the best comparison, but I wouldn't call Lebron a power player. He's built like a power people, but he doesn't really play like a power player. Sure he runs over people when they are exposed in transition and he'll throw down dunks with violence, but when he actually has to bang with true power guys he's not all that physical. He's a speed/size running back that will lower his shoulder in the open field to run over a defensive back, but he's not a power back that is going to grind out yards.
