Here's a list from the prospects' page, and hopefully it didn't do anything weird when I copy/pasted. Any surprises here on college players that weren't picked? Any guesses on who might get a training camp contract?

Taylen Collins (F) Auburn
Ugonne Onyiah (F) California
Megan McConnell (G) Duquesne
Dazia Lawrence (G) Kentucky
Kennedy Todd-Williams (G) Mississippi
Jerkaila Jordan (G) Mississippi State
Madison Hayes (G) NC State
Diamond Johnson (G) Norfolk State
Alyssa Ustby (G) North Carolina
Deja Kelly (G) Oregon
Georgia Woolley (G) Syracuse
Deasia Merrill (F) TCU
Sedona Prince (C) TCU
Taylor Jones (F) Texas
Talia von Oelhoffen (G) USC
Gianna Kneepkens (G) Utah

Isn’t Kneepkens in the transfer portal? I believe that she scheduled visits to a few universities.

I’m surprised/not surprised by Woolley. She didn’t get much airtime at Syracuse. But she really shined for them the last couple seasons. Long with a smooth perimeter stroke. She can probably play back home in Australia for a bit and catch on a bit later.

Suprised/not suprised that Prince didn’t get selected. I know the accusations, but figured someone would take a chance on 6’7”.
I’d love to say something about the difference between men’s and women ‘s sports, but it’s not like the WNBA has never turned a blind eye to such things. It may be the number of accusations that’s the difference.

She’s also just not worth the headache. Allegations/rumors/off court stuff aside, she’s 25 next month, injury prone and shuts down going up against quality players. At best she’s a late first round draft pick based on skill, and those players usually don’t carve out strong careers. Better for GMs to take a gamble on a different prospect.

Has Prince signed a preseason invite contract with anyone? If not; then Ct Sun should give her a call.

The draft really only needs to be two rounds because I doubt over fifteen of those selected are on opening day rosters.

Prince not being selected is a surprise as you can't teach 6'7 and she has some skills but comes with major baggage.

After reading some comments by W folks, and putting aside the non-basketball alleged behavior of Prince, it may have been concerns of how well she finished the season, especially as she's a few years older than most other college players. Although she shot .500+ in TCU's first 3 tourney games, she shot 1-4/2-2FT for 4 pts. There's also the history of injuries. Yes, you cannot teach height, however there just may have been more upside to other draft eligible players.

Nah, juice ain't worth the squeeze with that one. Yes, a 6'7" 25-year-old playing 18-year-olds is like taking candy from a baby, but her ceiling as a pro was very obvious, and all that baggage isn't worth at best a bench substitute for your starting 5. TCU fan base and W fan base are night and day and I would be incredibly pissed if, for example, the Valks drafted her. I imagine 90% of W season ticket holders would feel similarly.

Teams don't want to hear her abused story any more.

does anybody else think that Karlan is sorry that she chose to go to ND? She was one of the players i was surprised that they were not drafted.
Yes and no. Initially, it seemed like a great move for her and a step up in competitiveness. She looked like the final piece in a powerhouse team. But the implosion of the team at the end of the season had to disappoint her, and I can't see how it could have been blamed on her.

Wasn't she also dealing with injuries throughout the season? That could have impacted her draft stock as well.

I don't know. If Elissa Cunane couldn't stick in the W, it's hard to see how Taylor would.
Cunene was injured and couldn’t play last year. I think she was drafted by LV. Don’t know her current physical status.

That was Kitley, not Cunane. I think Cunane has been graduated for at least 2 maybe 3 years, and hasn't caught on with a WNBA team yet.

That may have been the case prior to her arrival at ND, but once I saw her play against ACC competition--I didn't see it for her re WNBA.
