Sugar started the first round by hitting her first 8, then cooled off. She won the first round with 22 points. Allie had 20 to advance to the final round, then was en fuego for 27 points. Sugar went to 20, but that wasn't enough. Both of them left Maya, Sue, and Jasmine in the dust.

The format was the 5th ball in 4 of the racks was the money ball (counting double). Each shooter chose the location for an all-money ball rack. So there were 25 shots and a maximum of 34 points (6 x 4 plus 10). Allie made 19 of 25 shots in the second round.

For the Sun fans, there was no question that Jonquel belonged. Even beyond the dunk, she rebounded, hit threes, and dribbled by people. Her upside is considerable.

I thought it was very classy of Sugar Rogers's selected charity in the 3pt competition to be the Hopey's Heart Foundation. This is the foundation started by Tina Charles in honor of her late Aunt to provide defibrillators to schools.
