I'm not in the camp that thinks Fam is a project in this sense. I genuinely think she can contribute as soon as she joins a team.

Yes, but with them making a move for Billings and resigning Dantas, space was getting limited. Not to mention dollars as the Fever need to be ready to pay Boston and Clark as they could see a bump in their salaries because of the new CBA triggers over the next couple years.

And with Sandy gone you play Marine Johannes in the backcourt with Sabrina with Cloud coming off the bench.
I thought that was a bad pickup last year with Cloud being the Starting Pg. She never fit well with any of the Big 3. Her biggest asset was defense and with Stewie and Jones that shouldn't be your first priority in a guard.
It should be able to hit outside shots to open up the interior for Stewie. Jones, and now Sabally. Johannes, is a better fit in getting the ball to Sabrina where she can hit shots. Both Stewie and Sabrina had career worst 3 point Pct , last year with Cloud as point guard.

Chicago is putting together a good roster. Compared to last year's roster, this is a huge upgrade. They had a lot of money to throw out there, I hope they have a good season. Their fans deserve it. Although I thought their Sheldon trade was bad.

Spending a lot of money and giving up a lot of future draft picks to do so. Time will tell if this was the right approach. Interested in seeing where Kia Nurse lands now as I don't think the Sky has room for her at this point.

That’s a good point, although I probably would’ve held onto Howard instead of trying to land Billings.

Exactly! I like Shepard, but I don’t think she’s worth that much.

As for Chicago landing these players, I have no idea how they did it lol.

Based on who the Tempo has signed, I don't think so. They've got Mabrey, Sykes and Allemand along with several others on training camp contracts.

PS - nice touch with "hometown-ish" 😉.

That's gonna set her back on playing for every franchise in the league, if she goes back to a team she's already been with. Previously 5 teams in 5 seasons. She's nearly halfway there.

It's the talking track the NBA and WNBA uses when it comes to collective bargaining. When their books aren't public, it makes it easier for those who don't pay attention buy into the "claims".
