Washington matched the offer sheet. Wow, that was quite an offer for 3 years.
BPA??I agree with the 1st two. With the 11th pick I'll go BPA. I'll try for my stretch forward with the #19th pick.
Not sure I see any of those consistently coming out to the arc to guard a speedy wing who can shoot the three.A potential Kiki, Shakira, Betts front court is really young...and potentially really good.
If that's true, a number of people agree with you and her on this (see comments on The Athletic draft board article).Jamila Wideman didn't want to committ to Austin and that deal is exactly why she should have remained as GM.

Austin is a ? due to her inability to consistently stay on the court. Washington invested in her heavily, so one better hope she can be there, most nights in.
Plus, the Mystics -- with that saved money -- could see how the three top choices work this year and then invest in a free agent next year to take them to the next level. Someone like Jackie Young.
If this was done because someone thought Austin would be a good hometown draw, they've could've gone rookie scale on some combination of Kiki Rice or possibly Azzi Fudd.
When it gets down to it, the best players on that team to bulld around are Citron and Iriafen. Don't muck it up.
