WNBA 2026 Draft: TODAY, Monday April 13 7:30 EDT espn

4 of the top 9 picks from UCLA. That's gotta rival anything UConn or South Carolina has ever done.
How many other teams have had 4 or more players even drafted? I think a while back Notre Dame had a few teammates drafted but not really positive.
But I agree, it's gotta be up there among the unique draft scenarios.

Seattle loses out on numerous point guards, so they go with Taina Mair from Duke/BC.

In 2019, ND has Jackie Young, Arike Ogunbowale, Brianna Turner, Jess Shepard and Marina Mabrey chosen.
Kat Westbeld tried out for the LA Sparks and was cut, but I'm not sure if she was drafted. It took awhile but she made the W last year. All six are slated to play this year.

cancontent should be really happy.

Another great pick by the Mystics. Three out of four great picks.
As an ND fan, I'm pleased for Cass Prosper who gets to learn and play with her former ND teammate, Sonia Citron.
Domerduck, from over on the Bench, reminds us that Marina Mabrey was also chosen in the #19 slot and has obviously stuck in the W.

Interesting. Shot 45% from three but only averaged 8 point per game. A good defensive player.
Its crazy, as a freshman I remember her being a scorer leading Texas pretty far into the tournament. Then as a junior I remember her playing seemingly her best basketball and absolutely killing uconn. I felt like she was the best point guard in the country. She got injured somewhat shortly after that. And then she played two years where I thought she never quite got back to that level but she was still really good. Like at 5'6 she used to get to any spot and pull up. She also just used to be a bit more aggressive offensively. That was long winded but I really like the pick. I think she could definitely outplay Olson and Amore and I don't say that as a slight to them

Thank you for taking the time to help me out.

Four players in the draft that started at Oregon and finished elsewhere: Angela Dugalic. Chance Gray, Grace Van Slooten, and Taylor Bigby. Pretty good senior class but not meant to be
The Oregon State diaspora may also stock up the W within a couple of years.

Latson fell further than most anticipated, but LA is actually a great spot for her. With Plum and Atkins as the starting guards, they have the vet Wheeler and Vanloo as the only other guards currently on the roster. Would think she'll be able to find some time backing up the 2 spot and learning from great players.

I'm looking through it all a second time and absorbing it all. I think Seattle "won" the draft followed by Minnesota. I like those two group of picks the most. IMO Miles has the highest ceiling of anyone in this draft class, so a great grab by Minnesota. I think Seattle is going to have a tough season but they look like they're building for the future. They're basically just missing their next generation PG and look who is coming in the next class (Juju and Hidalgo)...will they tank on purpose?

Seattle's possible future is eye-opening as far as length and athleticism... Flau'jae, Horston, Fam, Malonga. Just imagine if the add Hidalgo or Juju Watkins to that grouping.

That is a SHOCK to me. I like her as a player, but I didn't think she would be drafted anywhere near that high.
Likewise, and Chicago isn’t known for the strongest front office decisions. But in a title game with 8 goals players picked tonight she clearly stood out.
