I stand by what I said. She's going to have to keep her TOs in check and make smart decisions with the ball for Vegas to do well while Chelsea recovers. What she has done recently (i.e. in her last five actual games) is not promising, but we'll see what happens starting tonight.
3 assists 0 TOs the first 5 minutes. She's terrible!

.-.
The offense looks like crap now. When was the last time A'ja had a touch?

Did Copper just do a "sweep the leg?" I think she did.

So I’m watching the Storm/Lynx game and the announcer just indicated that Nika can’t play tonight because of “visa issues?” I knew there was an issue in the preseason game in Canada, but Nika played in the 2nd preseason game in the US. Whatever the issue is, it’s hard for me to believe that the Storm haven’t taken care of the situation.

This Mercury-Aces game should've been a blowout, but very poor decision making and terrible 3-point defense has made this a game. Freezing out A'ja Wilson was a...choice.

Mercury finally cooled off from 3. They couldn't miss starting w/ Q2.

Wow, Wilson started 7-10, she's 2-11 since.

Jewell Loyd gotta hit the reset button after last year. She doesn't need to score 25 ppg this season. She's 3-17 tonight.

The switch from KP to Jackie Young being on the ball made the difference in the 4th quarter. Thank you, Becky, for making the much-needed adjustment.

.-.
Vegas trying to give it away again. Up 10 w/ about 3 minutes left, down to 3. 3 straight 3's by Phoenix, 15-34 for the game.

Welp! Becky will relish getting a chance to scream at them in practice for a couple of days without having to take an L.

Good to see Kiki back in the W.

Not the most efficient shooting night, but 30 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 blocks have the M'VP headed in the right direction for 2024. Hoping to see more efficiency against LA after what should be a couple of rough days of film sessions/practice.

While all the CC hype is going on the GOAT DT serves notice with 7 threes that she is not done yet. Without Griner Phoenix plays Vegas tough right to the end.

At 42 years old, lets see how her body holds up for the season. Vegas played without Gray.

ESPN blew it, big time. After all the build up to Clark's first, WNBA game, a potentially large viewing audience, ESPN loses the broadcast in the middle of the second quarter! I don't know when it came back, but not by half time. WNBA was on ESPN2, but ESPN was also out, which had the Bruins Stanley Cup game. No wonder they're losing money. Someone's gonna lose their job.

That must have been a regional issue because I had no problems with the broadcast.

Since three other international rookies played last night that I counted, I have to assume the problem is one or more of the Storm management; the local CIS office; or the Croatian embassy/consulate.

I’m as cheesed off as anyone about this. Except Nika.
