Caitlin is taking shots with a lot of confidence in this game--and HITTING!!! Must be those bright New York lights. :D

Interesting considering how critical you were of Connecticut's backcourt coming into this season.
I already walked that back, but yes you are correct.

I cannot STAND Jonquel Jones, but I'll begrudgingly admit that she's been NY's best player so far this season.

Indiana down 20 in Q2. A lot of hero ball for Indy in the 2nd quarter and lazy defense. Offense looked much better in the first being run through Clark

Indiana looking their best so far this season...unfortunately for them the Lib are shooting out of their minds.
75% (9 of 12) from three already--which is INSANE.

At some point, the defensive-minded coach needs to make an adjustment on that side of the ball.

.-.
Kelsey Mitchell makes a difference, for sure! More movement with her in there--both in transition and in the halfcourt.

Clark is looking like Clark, and Mitchell is getting going for the first time all year. Need a few others to show something though.

What's with all the criticism of Sabally? She looks solid to me. 4 rebounds 2 blocks and an and-1 in 5 minutes. If this was the only game you ever watched, you'd say she's a much more impactful player than Boston.

Maybe because this is the first time that Sabally has looked somewhat competent (I'd like to see what she looks like going against a motivated Jonquel Jones) while Aliyah Boston was the unanimous ROY last year. We know what Aliyah can be. We know nothing about Sabally outside of the hype she receives from Pac 12 fans.

It's getting salty between Clark and Laney.
Good. Caitlin's not afraid and isn't backing down. If Aliyah can do the same thing against Jones, all the better.

What an awful excuse for a screen by Sabally there. They're fortunate Indiana couldn't capitalize off the extra possession.

.-.
2nd quarter Indiana reverted to the mean, while NY kept bombing away. 12 3's in a half?!

The Liberty who couldn't shoot 3s staight in Indiana are lights out today. Sabrina is saying: you're not the onl one who can shoot from distance!

Coach makes an adjustment by taking CC off the ball as the main ballhandler. It's the best move she can make to keep her on the floor. But team chemistry still needs a lot of work.....for that, CC needs to involve the frontcourt more and the latter has to move around, not just rooted in place. Still, all these very long distance attempts by CC should wait - priority is get the other guys involved more.

Ah well, if the coach is any good, she will get around to it sooner, much like she did with this adjustment.

NaLyssa Smith cannot make things difficult for Stewie on either side of the ball (she continues to get lit up). This has been the case for the last two seasons. She is afraid of that woman.

You'd think a defensive-minded coach would've tried to make an adjustment by now, but here we are.

NaLyssa Smith with one of the WORST transition defensive "efforts" I've seen in a while.

Glue her to the bench, please.

Oh geez. Sandy Brondello interview.

Wonder if she gets fired if NY fails to win it all again.

New York still has a backcourt issue. The better teams in the league will continue to exploit it.

Caitlin looks so much better today!

Shout out to Coach Dawn Staley for being in attendance to catch the Fever/Liberty game!!!

.-.
Indiana looks much better today offensively. Better ball movement and it looked more like vintage Clark out there. TOs high, though at least a couple were great passes just missed by teammates. Smith/Boston were handily outplayed again but most nights Indiana wont be going up against two former MVPs with 6'11 and 7'1 wing spans.

Wallace played tough today. Liked what I saw from her.

Katie Lou didn't shoot well, but her effort today was much better than it was on Thursday.

I love Boston, but it looks like she’s not in game shape yet. Looked very winded at times. Would love to see her get going.

The guard play will continue to be an issue for Vegas until Chelsea comes back. Stagnant. Very little player/ball movement. Just ugly.

.-.
Okay, Wilson went 7-10 in Q1 of game 1. She's 4-20 since. Come on A'ja!

Wonder when Chelsea is coming back because her replacements have been less than impressive thus far. Freezing out the franchise player with all of this unnecessary dribbling and questionable shot selection is nasty work.

We need to be cognizant of board rules (in game threads ).This thread will get locked down because these types of comments should be in the chat room.
