This looks awesome. This is the lamest, slowest motion mega-rip off in history. It required willful ignorance by regulators to miss what was happening here. The movie should be great.

It was really good, but I was disappointed that the movie was so easy on the regulators. This was one of the easiest frauds in history to catch, and I can not believe that the SEC never did a simple check against the DTCC in all the years Madoff was running this scam. I had never understood that hole in the story, but it appears that the SEC simply never bothered to check. In 20+ years.

Deniro was pretty good, but Alessandro Nivola was excellent as Madoff's oldest son and probably deserves an emmy nomination. He was great in American Hustle too.

I think they made this for John Q Public - my wife loved it - and didn't really pay any attention when it happened. I would have liked a little more sausage making, but might have ruined what they were trying to do.
