I wouldn’t enjoy being a 1 or 2 seed that draws UConn. Needing to beat an experienced tournament team just to make the Sweet 16 would give me great stress.
We’ve been a top seed in several past years. The weight is heavy. Matchups are key but you’re definitely not looking to face basketball royalty early in the tournament.
Hassan might have unexpectedly created an us against the world mentality we needed to survive a few weekends.
Our 7-9 seed isn’t ideal, but UConn’s like a snake in the grass right now. Other teams will need to be very careful where they step, because it might be there last.
