Anyone still not a fan of fouling late with a 3 point lead

unreal that wisc didnt foul in OT with THREE to give, burke in and out...thought we were gonna see both teams screw it up in one game

Doesn't matter how big the lead was; you wanted to foul there because you had fouls to give.

Not a good example. They made an off-balance prayer from 45 feet. They didn't get a legitimate shot at the basket - they just made a 1-in-500 miracle. Odds are a lot better of getting an offensive rebound and a putback than hitting that one again. Plus, if you foul in the act of shooting from midcourt, you make the bonehead plays of the year.

Using a foul to give isn't appropriate there either, in my opinion. Then you just let them advance the ball with an inbounds pass - when the clock isn't moving. You can get hung up on a screen and someone gets a clean look (sorta like the Illinois game-winner vs Indiana, only at the 3-point line).
