Having a series of teams on the "northern schedule" that do not have a negative impact on RPI and in some cases can have a positive impact is a great aspect to UConn 2023 schedule. BC won 4 of 6 on the road against 2 ranked teams (Va Tech and Fl St.) and have #24 NC St. at home on the weekend before and a tough Ga Tech the weekend after the 1st UConn game on March 28. It will certainly be a battle of the mid-week rotation. Rutgers is sticking around in the RPI despite a 10-8 record as they have a #17 SOS. Got swept by UNC Greensboro, but have won 7 of 8 on a Georgia swing (Ga Southern, Kennesaw, and Mercer). They have Rider and Lafayette as midweek games before the UConn series so they will be loaded and ready for battle this weekend. The 2nd BC game and Northeastern game are back to back later in the year (April 18 and 19). Tough stretch for UConn w/ Xavier the weekend before and G'town the weekend after. 8 games in 10 days is a stresser for the staff, but that is college baseball.
