Below is my Very unscientific chart that gets the baseball team to 40 wins. With the little research I have done in the past, almost all teams that reach the 40 win mark and have an RPI of less than 60 get an at large bid to NCAA tourney.
I hope someone else on this board finds this interesting. It keeps me involved in following the baseball team. Looking forward to the season. If we get some hitting production, with the expected pitching depth ( even without Carson Cross), we should have a solid season.
current record.............. season goal
0 - 0 / .000 % ...........16 - 8 / .667 - AAC regular season
0 - 0 / .000% ............. 2 - 2 / .500- AAC tourney
0- 0 / .600% ............. 14- 3 / .823 - New England games
0 -0 / .625%.............. 8 - 7 / .533 - Other games
0-0 / .593%..............40-20 / .667 - Overall record
0.........<60- RPI
