So Wimbledon started yesterday and Tsitsipas lost his opening round match to American Francis Tiafoe. Then two players are forced to retire due to slipping on the same side of Centre Court in back to back matches- Adrian Mannarino who was up 2 sets to 1 on Roger Federer and Serena Williams, who was crying as she left the court:

Is this Serena’s last Wimbledon? Also, is Roger finally just a guy? Djokovic is the heavy favorite to win on the men’s side but there’s a ton of interesting story lines to follow.

Kyrgios on ESPN2 now- this is his best chance to go far in a major IMO. The draw on his side is WIDE open- he should get to at least the quarters if he can take care of Humbert in the first round.

Thanks for the recap - lots to like here esp. Novak going for #20. Wide open the women’s side. Then the Olympics right around the corner!

If Novak wins Wimbledon what a storyline it’ll be coming back to the US Open to try and win the Golden Slam at the place he was DQ’d at last year for hitting a ball person in the neck with a ball mid match. Oh and on top of it he’d be going for the all time Slams lead at 21. Wow.
