Big 12 down to nine bring in the Big East 6 and then offer Notre Dame the 16th spot. Pretty much freezes everyone else in place and stops all this nonsense.

Too bad that Notre Dame would prefer joining the ACC or Big 10 if forced to choose a conference (despite their "alliance" with Texas) , and adding 7 teams makes no financial sense from the Big 12's perspective.
