Williams punt fair catches

While watching on ESPN3 it looked like Williams took 3 fair catches on punts when it looked like he had room to return the kicks. From someone who was at the game, what is your take on this?

He takes way too many fair catches. And I'm fairly conservative in my views on taking fair catches.

Has he always been that way ... perhaps he's being instructed by the "Play it Safe and Take No Risk" team on the sidelines? I would not doubt it at this point.
