Will Tye - New York Giant

Anyone else notice Will Tye (Middletown, CT Xavier) playing tight end for the Giants tonight? Went to Florida, then Stony Brook where he played against us a couple of years ago. I don't know anything about his recruiting to Uconn, but this would have been during the Randy Edsall era when he didn't believe Connecticut had D1/FBS level talent.

The other backup tight end Jerome Cunnningham is from Waterbury and went to Crosby.

Tye actually graduated from Salisbury School and went to FSU w/ his teammate Bjoern Werner on a visit - got an offer and committed on the spot.

He apparently wasn't (at the time) an FBS talent.

I get what you are saying, but you win aome, lose some. This is all irrelevant anyway because Edsall had an NFL TE at the time.
