They answer is yes. Unfortunately for us though, their next tournament game will likely be in a couple of years when they are led to their tournament win by their head coach Kimani Young. 😒
Looks like Syracuse may be looking for a new coach as well. Went to their message board and their fans have had it with Autry. We may lose Kimani and Luke. Although would wants to live in Syracuse?

If things would have gone just slightly different, Pikiell’s your coach to follow Ollie. I think it all worked out pretty ok for UConn.
He and Rutgers seem to be coming to an end. Last year was a huge hit and they’re not winning anyone back with the play this season so far.

I think Luke is so hyper focused on hoops every minute of every day that if a program he could win with was based in Fairbanks, Alaska, he’d be fine with it.

Seems like the Rutgers euphoria peaked in the last few years, but with very little to show for it as they seemingly begin declining. Didn’t Pikiell sign a “lifetime” contract during this euphoric period? Obviously any contract can be broken, but at what cost to Rutgers?

As much as I love Pikiell
He isnt your big time winning coach.
He is the type of coach that is a good face to the program, will run your program clean, and will win the ocassional big game from time to time to keep you dreaming. A good dude all around. Recruits well...
But in key moments he has never been elite.
He had the same issues at my alma mater (SBU). He was a good enough recruiter to turn them into winners but his teams inexplicably flopped when coaching the big games (i.e: AEC tourney Finals)

Yes, she is in Honors College in biomedical research for genetics. She just gets bummed that both basketball and football suck and they spend so much on athletics, but she shivers in her dorm and the wifi keeps dropping in all buildings.

Just another example of the foolishness of thinking a past great player will make a great coach "says Juwann Howard".
Some people make great COO's and are smart enough to know you can be happy as the #2 guy with a lot less stress so maybe KY is happy doing what he's doing. We'll find out over time.

I don't lurk Syracuse fan like I used to. But they have a thread where multiple posters "confess" to enjoying UConn basketball and liken it to a different sport than what they are seeing in Canada. Kinda scary- I'm ready for them to be at least OK again

Yep, I went over there the other day to lurk. Within the delusionary fans are those who have tremendous respect for our program, and despite disliking Hurley (which is understandable), recognize that we play an excellent brand of basketball.
I have no ill will towards any original, former, or current BE team. I want to beat them, but I'd be down with any of them being really good. Even in the heyday, I'd root for any BE team OOC or in the tourney and always hoped to outdo the three BE team Final Four in '85.
