AND Ramon Walker was declared out for the year too not too long ago either.

With those injuries, Houston has been playing more lineups with Dunn at the 4, whose more of a 2/3…wonder how their frontcourt depth issues will affect their offensive rebounding, which is their bread and butter.

Houston now down to just 8 healthy scholarship players.

Houston looked pretty scary to play.
Not so much with a sparingly used freshman now as their only frontcourt backup.

UConn #1, Purdue #2, and then anyone’s guess who’s the third best team…it’s not Houston anymore.

I’m curious to see how Sampson handles this. His style of D is a) prone to fouling, and b) very high energy. There’s just no way they’re able to keep up that defensive performance playing two guys in the front court for 36+ minutes a game but I’m not sure what depth they have left.

FYI, back in the day the straight man got 60%

I wasn't even sure that's what you meant but it's immediately where my brain went. That's good stuff

Houston and Tennessee were the only teams that scared me. I was hoping Houston would be #1 overall and Tenn would be the 4th #1 so they'd be on the same side of the bracket and we'd be with Purdue.

wow so theyve now lost 3 of their top 10 guys to start the year: arceneaux, tugler, and walker. as you said now they just bring Dunn and Wilson off the bench who are both Gs.

the epitome of brutatlity

I'm not. Castle would shadow Knecht and Tennessee offense looks totally different when Knecht is not as much of an impact player.
Our greatest matchup advantage if we somehow play Tennessee is that has Rick Barnes

With Kelvin Sampson at the helm, Houston will be fine
A few years back he lost 2 starters and still led his team to the final 4
Toughness is what he teaches
Sound familiar?

? You don't see UConn vs. Purdue as heavyweight center v center title match!

If I'm the selection committee you set that up as the potential biggest ratings.
