$30 for a minor, minor league team? IMHO, go with 25 beans at midfield and $15 near the end lines. At 10 bucks more, then it’s not 100% more for the midfield. Just one opinion, but HA appears to have reached for the skies and some people may justify $30 for a minor minor league game.

Everybody complains about the chairback pricing, but nobody notes that HA offers $16 midfield seats on the other side. No team i’ve seen at this level (except maybe the reserve teams -since they don’t draw flies I’ve never looked to see what they charge) does that.

”Everybody” else may complain, but are those $16 midfield seats on the allegedly empty sunny side? Not that minor league soccer is of much interest in the States, but $16 is more reasonable for families and for the overall USL quality.

Yeah but...

>>While CRDA officials did not deny the funds were improperly spent, they said “the criticism omits any acknowledgement of all the factors in play at the time" including the urgency in getting the project done in time for the soccer franchise to begin play at Dillon Stadium.<<

Shocked that Whaler would drop this here.

lol yeah I didn’t. good try though!

sure they the money was spent illegally by a broke city for a doomed minor league outfit - but the bad guys are the ones who noticed!

the hilarious part being they spent it illegally to meet the deadlines but the bathrooms and lights dont work 6 months after the deadline!

I’ve always thought trying to discern corruption from $1000 Campaign donations was silly.

Somewhere. The flow of dollars are in much bigger chunks. Yes. NYS & Kaloyeros. Gave him the keys to Economic Development. Next thing you know he built a Hollywood quality soundstage ... in Syracuse. (Plus Nanotechnology in Albany; Biogenetic labs in Buffalo; Rochester & Utica). You know graft in big big ambitious chunks.

This is why CT has the money and still can’t have too many nice things.

There is easily 5000 people in that photo. That’s almost a picture of Trump’s inauguration.

That was the 7th minute.

They announced 4200.

It was 2,500 if you squinted.

It’s too bad they are DOA. It was 78 degrees and CT doesn’t have better weather. Was fun if you ignored Red Bulls scoring 5 times in 20 minutes i. 11 v 9

Whoever took the picture needs to use a bigger aperture. Looks underexposed.

This is a minor offense that happens all the time. He paid his fine. Move on.

Interestingly, the guy contributed to the GOP. So the idea that he was buying influence in Hartford (or Connecticut for that matter) doesn't consider reality.
