I would approach the ACC and offer to be a member in all sports BUT football. Stay in the big east for football. What, are they going to kick you out? Or go independent. I'd have figure out the math on the finances but as a fan this interests me more than staying in the new big east. Notre Dame does the same. I know swoffard said he wouldn't do it, but with the proper enticements (games played by nd in football in conference) it might work.
