Seems like a few of our recruits are also considering Memphis.

Translation: He's an idiot.

Memphis still has the cachet from the Squid years, players like Posner, and it's not an academically challenging school so party time on Beale Street is doable.

Memphis is also a pretty cool town, too. They do have an NBA, NFL, and NFL franchise, so it is pretty bigtime as far as pro sports go, too. Certainly enough reason to go there as most places.

Um, not sure what NFL Franchise you speak of - last I checked, it was only the NBA franchise. I think you may have your Tennessee geography mixed up and are thinking of Nashville. Memphis is NOT a cool ducking town.

Nashville seemed better than Memphis when I was last there. Rendezvous BBQ was the only thing I loved in Memphis.

Nashville had the night life/music but I suspect that if you live there even that could get boring. Didn't Memphis join the BE? If so then 'local' kids can play in the best league in the country (I think) and not leave the area.

The thing about Nashville and Memphis that is great is that both have fantastic places to eat sinful foods (like ribs) drink good beer and listen to music at the same time---all while sitting down. For many people from age 32-58 or so, that is a good party.
