Why did we bring Jay Rose to Amherst?

If we didn't intent to ever look at him, what was the point? Just bizarre.
It was utter coaching malpractice. I don’t know how the kid deals with it. He can catch the ball. Throwing to TE2 who drops a high, but catchable ball (the only TE throw all the game by the way) on a critical 3rd and goal was just terrible personnel alignment. Not using him to beat their LBs was stupid. The collective IQ of the staff has to be less than room temperature.

That’s why I’m thankful all will be employed elsewhere next year. Start fresh and leave no remnants of this staff

Wasn't he named the offensive captain for this game too? You'd think they'd let him do some stuff on offense.

Right set the play up to go to back up tight end. Bring mensha into block and completely misses it. It was actually a great play call. Just should of went to rose and mensah should of picked up his assisgnment on that

It’s just really bad coaching being unaware that your primary is not your number 1 TE who hasn’t been looked at all day. The pass was poor but more than catchable.

UConn has to play him as QB at the Yale game, unless the wrinkles with the others are worked out this week.
