Who's next as BE freshman of the year

Ok, Uconn nation, we have won the freshman for 2 years in a row with Shade and Strong. My question is, which Freshman will continue the streak? I'm considering Blanca, but don't sleep on Kelis, especially since the rest of the BE teams don't have a strong recruiting class as ours. Your thoughts, UConn Nation

I think the incoming freshman class as a whole is a lot better than people think. But Blanca has the potential to be really special as a freshman, which we haven’t seen from a UConn freshman going all the way back to this past season……

I still say Blanca is starting. And she is my blind pick for 2025/2026 big east freshman of the year. Ava Zediker and Neleigh Gessert from Creighton are two other options.

I won't name names, but I expect to be both surprised and disappointed. I ask you, who is the biggest surprise and who might be a disappointment (if any)? In any event I thoroughly expect a UConn player to be the BE freshman of the year. It's a good bet to make if you're a gambling person...

Creighton and Villanova both have a couple top 100 recruits coming in next season. With graduation and transfers they could get ample playing time. Not to mention both those teams are usually in the upper standings of the Big East.

After watching several of Blaca's videos I think she'll be a revelation!
Having played with older players for the last several years I see her, once she gets used to the UConn system, of being the player she showed in Italy!
She is very athletic, and shows no fear in attacking the defense in different ways!
