Amen. He wanted to come to UConn 2 years ago. The credit in my opinion goes to JC and what his staff did then. Other than him, this staff has one big time recruit to hang its hat on. Things could still fall our way in several instances but things are what they are so let's go a bit easy with the rose colored glasses shall we?One recruit doesn't really make a class. And I consider Purvis more of a gift than a recruit. He was meant to go to UConn from the start and committed here virtually the day after he left NCST.

KO was a part of that staff but you don't think Jim Calhoun was a significant factor in RP's considerable interest in UConn? KO deserves credit for sure in getting RP to come here but given how quickly Purvis reached his decision after announcing his transfer tells us where his heart was all along. Our staff wasn't even allowed to talk to him while he was making his final decision to leave. It's just naive to conclude it was a fully open recruitment that netted another five star recruit. Let's say 1.5 to be fair.Lol oh so all credit goes to JC and his staff? Who the heck do you think it was on JC's staff who recruited big fish like Purvis? And did Purvis transfer to Uconn under the pretense that Calhoun was still the head coach? He must be so disappointed.
I think we are down to 50 prospects.
