Unfortunately, tailgating appears to be minimal at Western Michigan.

Still not cheap but try Grand Rapids instead of Mazoo. About $650RT Mazoo is about an hour south of Grand Rapids.

Mazoo is easy 2 1/2 drive from Detroit. About$400RT BDL to DTW

Out here in Kalamazoo for the game. Cooler city than I would have expected. Like a larger and better Scranton, PA. Most apathetic fan base I've ever encountered. Most are just waiting for Michigan @ Notre Dame at 7:30. Meanwhile I was running around the bars here last night with Uconn gear on hyping this one up as if it is ends of days at 2 PM today. Weather is bad this morning which I think helps us.

Anyway me and my buddy are gonna scope out the tailgate scene and doing some bar right by the stadium after the game the locals mentioned.
