I haven't bought my ticket yet, but I hope to be there. Let me know the time and place for a beverage.

I'm in DC at the moment, but not planning to stay until Monday. I was hoping there might be a team practice at GW, where I am, but I haven't heard anything. I watched Ann Strother play for a USA team on the GW campus, so it would be cool if they were here, but I haven't found anything.

Phil, check out John A's blog.

Clinic at the armory (near RFK) tomorrow AM.

Practice somewhere tomorrow.

Practice elsewhere on Sunday.

At least the clinic should be open.

Enjoy!

It was 105 degrees here 6 days ago.

I'll be at Monday's game and at The Greene Turtle before the game should anyone like to meet up. Would be fun for all of us to get a group photo.

MilfordHusky- There is an "open" practice tomorrow morning. My friend was able to score me an extra ticket so I'll be sure to get pictures and post them. I'm really hoping to get once with Geno, he is the reason I am a Husky fan. Also, I got my Olympic tix yesterday via Fedex. I don't think I've ever been a combination of stressed/excited all at the same time. You should receive an e-mail with the tracking number and I'll vet that it is fairly accurate. Go Fedex!

Have a great evening everyone!

T-gal, I got a ticket for Monday. Baseline top row.

I also got the e-mail about the London tix. Mine shipped yesterday. I hope to have them on Monday. I was sweating the passport renewal, so I paid for expedited processing. I got it back in 10 days.

TJI, how about the Green Turtle?

Doors open at 4:15.

If I remember correctly an article from a few months ago from the Courant said that the USA team would be practicing on the American University campus this weekend prior to the game against Brazil.

Per John A's blog:

Saturday morning: Clinic at the D.C. armory.

Saturday night: Practice at American University (presumably Bender Arena).

Sunday afternoon: Practice at A.U.

Monday 5:30: Exhibition game v. Brazil at Verizon Center.

The one and only John Altavilla is in town.

Green Turtle sounds like a plan... Anyone in the mood for a late lunchd early beverage? 3, 315ish and then we can stagger over to the Center?

Sounds like you are familiar with the Verizon center and DC. Woold you recommend taking the metron or driving in from Bethesda? Also any tips about parking or metro would be appreciated. I'm in section 229. Look for a 60 year old woman wearing oxygen.

Metro, definitely. Red Line straight from Bethesda to Gallery Place. The Metro stop is right under the arena.

I'm in the top row of the 4th level. I might need some of your oxygen. :)

Great shot, Cat. Will you be here Monday?

I copied the photo from the WNBA's twitter feed. I wish I had taken it!

No, I won't be at the game on Monday night. Although I'm off on Monday, I'm working night shift Sunday night and will need to spend most of Monday catching up on my sleep. Enjoy! I'll definitely catch up with you, TJI and others during next season. I plan to be at the regionals in Trenton and the FF in NO is definitely on my calendar.

I'm still hoping to retire late this year and take in several games this season before moving West. I have hotels booked for the entire post-season. Looking forward to seeing you and others.

Geno must be saying something like:

You can be like Maya if you work as hard as she does.

And somewhere, a kid takes it heart and becomes a legendary player. Our first recruit for 2020.

Are those closed practices at AU? (I presume so....)

Dunno. Do you have a Rich Elliott mask and fake press credentials at home?

Call AU. One of the practices in 2010 was open.

Weather forecast for the our- of-towers:

Hot, 97, with a chance of a shower. Hopefully train and auto traffic will not be affected.
