Whoever UConn just played post game thread

Ross able to get separation and Joly able to get separation ...Porter appears to as well? bodes well ....Buckman is being used wrong it seems
Buckman’s had some nice plays this season. How would you use him differently?

.-.
Might be off on this ... but it seems like they are using him wide a lot for one on one ... with his sure hands over the middle routes more would be nice.
Before this game, Buckman had played the most snaps at WR. I think it's hard to figure out what his role should be at WR. He's not an outside receiver, but we need to use Ross and Joly more over the middle.

yup. In the slot he can go left or right, not so much if he is lined up outside and his lack of speed becomes much more of a weakness.

UConn has played so well the last two games. UConn would be 3-3 if it had played with this much intensity all season. Oh well, regret is for the offseason. All the team can do is focus on the next game.

I'm still not 100% sold on Roberson but it's good to see him looking more confident. Maybe they have finally taking the training wheels off and put full trust in him to make all the plays and it's paying off. Great win heading into the break.

Gotta give props to Mora for having this team still fighting 2 weeks ago after starting 0-4 and then still having fire in their bellies this week after that gut wrenching loss last week to slip to 0-5.

I was all over Roberson early on - more than happy to give him the credit he deserves - what an awesome performance!!! An all time great one for the offense quarters 2.3 and 4.

And let‘s not forget our receiving core that made some great catches today!

Before this season, Roberson had not played a complete game at QB since 2018 back in high school. Think about that for a minute. He has always had talent, but now he is getting experience and he is developing and getting better.

I'm 100% sold on him vs. the alternatives on the bench.

We still aren't any good but that was a good win. I guess the last couple losses had to average out somehow. In many years past that didn't happen.

Hopefully we can build on this. There are four more winnable games and it would be nice to get at least 3 of them.

Good game, does anyone else want to see Stafford line up in the backfield on 1st and 10 and just get a rip up the gut?
I would just love to see what he could do isolated with a linebacker.

How sweet it was! Got to believe it was all those good vibrations raining down from the stands by the vocal Husky faithful that finally got us off the schneid.

Charlton is terrible for many reasons, but the most glaring mistake was his decision to make Roberson QB2 at the start of the season.
Jurkovic lost his QB job at Pitt - he was arguably even worse than JF - and now Narduzzi appears to have him practicing as a TE.

I wonder if there is any other position Zion can play, or is willing to play?

Zion still absolutely deserves to be a qb biding his time learning on the bench in the qb room. He earned that right getting thrown in as a freshman for 11 games and getting 6 wins.

An offense like today's vs. Rice, beats FIU, Utah State, and NC State, putting us at a more expected 4-2 and well on the way to a bowl win & P4 invitation in a few years, i.e. steady improvement. IMO at worst, we're 3-3 - accounting for additional development time for roberson.

GA State and Duke were abominations across the board, so those were losses either way.

there needs to be true, severe accountability for this decision. we NEEDED every win we could get, to survive in the college football landscape. even us idiots on the boneyard knew who the starter was during the summer.

a part of me is afraid, that if by some miracle we go on a sudden tear and finish out 5-7 or something, Charlton keeps his job. I'm done w that guy. Mora all day, but enough with the wunderkind experiment.
