Who will be our year end leaders in ppg, rebounds, assists, 3s and steals.

My guesses:
Ppg- Newton
Rebounds total- Clingan
Assists total- Newton
Steals total- castle
3's- Cam

You can now rip apart my picks or...pick your own

I think Clingan will lead the team in PPG. It will be a balanced attack but he should be getting fed a lot.

Well, Cam never misses so he will get fed a lot and score around 60 a game 15 of 15 3s for 45. He will pick up another 12 points on 6 2 point buckets, you know, put backs when he is hunting rebounds. He will get fouled 3 times per game (all on made shots - he never misses) picking up another 3 points to make it an even 60 points per game. I'm just basing this off the clips I have seen so far from practice.

I'm with UconnGB - I think Clingan will lead the way with blocks.

Castle isn't the kind of defender to get a bunch of steals. He's more of a positional defender. I'd go with Spencer or maybe Ball if he's playing 20+ mpg

This team isn't built for steals though. We're made to force bad shots over our length.

If Castle doesn’t lead in assists and steals then he is either hurt or underutilized.
DC should lead in rebounds and blocks
PPG is a tough one but willing to wager that whoever leads is not going to be above 14 it’s going to be balanced
Tech Fouls will be Dan Hurley Because he won the NC he will feel, and probably rightly so, he should be afforded some freedom but the officials are horrible

I'd disagree with the assists part. This is going to be a very good passing team. Newton, Spencer and Karaban are very good passers and Clingan is a good passer for a center. So I think the assists are going to be spread around. I could easily see Newton or Spencer leading the team in assists with only about 4/game. Castle could be in that group also at about 4/game.

My it’s-way-too-early-to-predict-stats detailed stat predictions:

Newton 13.3ppg, 4.7rpg, 4.5apg, 2.2 3pm, 37% 3fg, 1.5spg

Spencer 13.2ppg, 5.1rpg, 3.8apg, 2.4 3pm, 40% 3fg, 1.2spg

Clingan 12.4ppg, 9.5rpg, 1.6apg, 64% fg, 3.0bpg

Karaban 12.3ppg, 6.6rpg, 2.4apg, 2.0 3pm, 38% 3fg, 1.1spg

Castle 10.5ppg, 3.7rpg, 3.1apg, 1.6 3pm, 32% 3fg, 1.4spg

SJ 5.7ppg, 4.8rpg, 1.7bpg
SB 4.5ppg, 2.8rpg
HD 4.2ppg, 2.5apg. 1.3spg
JS 2.4ppg
JR 2.1ppg
AR 1.6ppg

AH - 39 game close outs.

Assuming not everyone plays every game, would settle to 82-83ppg.

Didn't want to go to the .00s place?

Spencer is way more likely to lead the team in scoring than be 5th.
I disagree. One open practice doesn’t make that fact. Big East is hard to score in, I think others have more ways to do so and have established themselves in the conference already.

He put up 13 PPG in the Big Ten playing in one of the worst offenses possible, so I'm not worried about the transition to the BE at all. He is the best shooter on the team and with the pieces we are putting around him all drawing attention I would be shocked if he was only averaging 9PPG.

He's probably basing it off what Spencer did in the Big 10 instead of a summer practice.
