Who will be 10th?

Being honest, I think the one with the confidence to take shots will be #10.

I think both of them have showed issues with a willingness to take shots. Ice with her perfectionism issues and I think Morgan's has been wrapped up in her injury issues.

You gotta be willing to take shots or you are playing 4 on 5.... They've got too many options to put someone out there who can't play defense as we talk a lot about or someone not willing to take shots.

One thing that has stuck in my mind is when reporters were questioning Geno about Allie and her development this year versus her limited time playing last year, he said she got hurt and missed too much time to get the reps necessary to break into the rotation vs. the other players who were not hurt. This leads me to the believe that Morgan has missed far too much time to try to get ready for any real minutes and break into the rotation and I really believe she will take a "red shirt" year due to the injury. Ice, on the other hand has had 2 years of the rigors and knowledge on what it takes to contribute. To me, something seems off about her this year so I also question whether she will be able to break into the rotation given our front court depth-Sarah, Serah, Jana, Blanca and the fact we are so successful with a "small line-up".

I do not think either break into the top 10 and definitely think Morgan will red shirt and am leaning towards the same for Ice.

We have depth and can match any team in the country without Morgan or Ice. I wish them well and hope they get healed and have as much fun as they can.

I am probably being extremely optimistic, I say Carol finally starts knocking down shots like she did as a freshman and earns minutes in big games.

As much that I’d like to be optimistic, I don’t see it happening.

Ziebell wasn't injured during her freshman year. She just lacked aggression.

Didn’t I just hear that Morgan cannot redshirt or was it Ice?
Brady can't unless it's deemed a season ending injury by the medical staff. As of right now, Cheli can do it for either reason. If she plays even one game after the St. John's game on Jan. 7th it will be too late for either. This applies to Brady also for an injury waiver.

Unless Morgan has been unrestricted in practicing with the team, and I don't think that's the case since she was wearing a boot just a few weeks ago, then I agree, she's missed way too much time. It's quickly getting to the point where it would be a waste for her to not take a red shirt.
