Every picture I've seen has Paige wearing the net. Well deserved, but I believe it's time to spread the wealth. Who do you think should wear the net for the parade?

If not Paige our own, long time BY poster Next12, or maybe Tony, hey what about Oldude. People who have been fans longer than the players have been players. Why not, without us there would be no games televised. First women's college game I attended was at Northern Illinois U. there were almost 20 fans in the stand. No I meant stand not stands. That was in 1983, the next three years were little better. This years team was great, as were the fans. But again Paige, It's her team.

If you ever have the opportunity to travel to Mecca (aka Geno’s office) there are 11 national championship trophies with 11 nets wrapped around them. Obviously that number will increase to 12.

Of course there are 2 nets from every championship game. It would be really interesting to know where each of those nets can be found?

It's possible tht the other net is cut into pieces and divided amongst the players, staff and some lucky people.
 
Seriously, though, the contenders would be Paige, Azzi, Sarah or Geno. Everyone is back next year, except for Paige- so she should be the one.

Googled it and got (not sure how true since it's AI):
In the NCAA tournament, after a team cuts down the net following a victory, the other net, the one not cut down, is usually removed and kept as a keepsake by the venue or the NCAA.

Thank you Moosejaw for the thought. I really APPRECIATE your post.I would wear it as the greatest honor I have ever had, which it is. For me, I have NEVER FALTERED IN MY BELIEF that Uconn was not going to win it.s 12th NC. From the start of the season I said Uconn would be undefeated in the BE, From the time they won the BE trophy, I said they would go all the way. Tonyc was with me all the way, but I never faltered in my Posts. To me Uconn is the apex of the BB world , And now I'm saying Uconn will win NC13 this coming season. Before I get shot down, I'm the " it's possible guy " and it is posible!!!!! GO HUSKIES!!!!!!!

I'm with you all the way, us old fogies know a good thing when we see it. I too think we have a real chance, just maybe in the next few years we will get more nets. Could it be that we can start a push to get a BY member to have a photo opp with a Championship net. A BY raffle?
 
I'm good with sharing as the players will most likely have their part of the net in their hat or not.
Me thinks the net should be worn by Johnathon and the bus driver. ;)

I want Kaitlyn to wear it, because the other top candidates have gotten their due and the attention, and that’s all been well deserved. But I think Kaitlyn gave more to this team than most of us will probably ever know. She brought maturity, intelligence, poise, and some timely plays to get us to the chip. And this may be the last time we see Kaitlyn on a big stage. I’m really going to miss her presence next season, give our girl her flowers.❤️
 
I would hate to have that thing around my neck for too long, especially in the rain.
