MArtin is clearly the second best player on the team. The problem is trying to figure out who might be third

It varies legitimately every single night but gun to my head ... Martin . Thots?

As much as it sucks for the players, we need to keep "Thots" as far away from this season as possible.

Whaley's defense on one of the best players in country wwas terrific. In the opening minutes it looked like he was going to get toasted. But he regrouped and played a great over all game. He needs to play the 4 and Carlton needs to play the 5.

Cole until Akok comes back. Or whoever can create their own shot and score

Too much pressure and expectation on Akok. He’s coming back from a MAJOR injury.

To me it’s pretty obvious it is Whaley. The development of Whaley over the last 20 games or so has been truly amazing. Don’t ever remember one person on the board thinking he would be this good- think we were all hoping he could give us a solid 12 minutes off the bench one day. The kid does everything right, rarely makes a mistake, & always seems to make the shot around the basket, come up with a big block, & or the loose ball. UConn staff has done a tremendous job in developing him & giving him the opportunity to shine.

Whaley and Martin seem to be 2a and 2b. But I trust Cole taking big shots, that set 3 he shoots is one of our better options on offense especially if teams continue to play zone against us.

Our 2nd best player is going to be Team Defense, as is Hurley tradition.

Depends on what you value more, off. or def. Whaley can very well be a double double and 5 block on any given night.

I don’t know yet if Martin is our second best player. I do know that we will be able to count on him to show up all season. I see some Shonn Miller in him. Will always help and never hurt us.

Right now #2 has to be Whaley. I think once RJ gets in a rhythm he’ll be our #2 option on offense. USC’s length was a tough match up for him tonight. Need more offensive production for the G spot as a whole though between Cole and Gaff.
