OT: Who felt the earthquake about 1030?

Yes in Simsbury. Short duration. Not like the ones I've experienced in SoCal- Including the World Series Quake of 1989- Which originated in the Bay Area.

Was on the tarmac at LGA - didn’t feel it but delayed takeoff a few minutes. Apparently shook my condo near the GW.

sorry boys, myself and august's mom will keep it down next time.

Westport shook like crazy! I've spent a whole lotta time in CA and never felt one, this was a house shaking one.

.-.
Was on the couch in Glastonbury. Felt the couch shaking, thought the dog was trying to retrieve something from behind d the couch. Then heard the dog barking from the next room.

My rottweiler and pitbull my wife claims are "guard dogs" slept through it. Apparently the computer monitor and bookshelves were swaying a bit. Didn't feel a thing at work.

One daughter in W Htfd felt it, the other daughter in Avon felt it as well.
Nothing on the sun coast of FL

Felt it in Southington

felt in Bethel. Thought a delivery truck ran into my garage or something. Got up to see what was going on thinking I imagined it and the dog was asleep on the couch like nothing happened. Didn't know what happened until I walked by the living room for a coffee like half hour later and it was. up on the news. Yelled at the dog.. "I knew I wasn't crazy!!!!" No response from him to confirm or deny.

Was stationed in San Diego, base on the harbor, and we would get them often. The rooms housing the simulators were dark, except for instruments lights, and you could see the lights swaying in the dark.

My furnace had just come on in Bristol and we heard some banging and I thought something was wrong with the furnace. That would suck, since we just put our house on the market on Wednesday. My son lives about 10 miles from the epicenter in NJ and he said it shook things off of some of the shelves. Moving to Charleston, SC and it just happens to have one of the largest fault lines on the east coast.

I slept through this the other morning, 1 block from me...

Did in northwest CT. Earthquake center in nw NJ. About 4.8!
NEIC has confirmed the cause of this mornings earthquake in New Jersey was a basketball practice in Glendale, Arizona. Apparently the seismic force generated during the slam dunk practice traveled across the county to an abandoned high school in Jersey City. NCAA is investigating.

I appreciate qualifying the thread title with "about 1030" as if someone would have responded except they only felt the 7:00am earthquake today.

Felt it in my home in Monroe. Wife and I were stting on the couch and I though either my subwoofer kicked in a major way on my home theatre system or someone slipped some magic mushrooms in my omelette. Quickly it became obvious it was a quake. Went on for almost 30 seconds with a few minor aftershocks.

I was in my home office in Norwalk, on a phone call with a guy in Westchester. All of a sudden, he says "hold on a second, my whole house is shaking", as I realized mine was also. Reminded me late 1980's another small earthquake, sleeping on a couch in my parents' basement in Stamford. Woke up and remembered dreaming about being shaken around, turned on the news, it wasn't a dream lol.

Both times made out better than my aunt in California, who lost her condo in Encino in the Northridge earthquake!

Live in NJ a couple miles from Seaton Hall campus. House got a good shake for 15-20 seconds this morning. We had another small tremor about an hour ago

Did not feel it here in Boston
Me neither here in Boston. It's interesting though, because my wife is originally from Santa Cruz, California but was around the Bay Area in 1989 when they had that massage earthquake.
