Sure, I'd be shocked if LB wants Ray back. Plays zero defense, can't create shot and has become a streaky 3 point shooter at best. Where was Ray in the 4th Q of game 7 Celts-Lakers? Cost Celts a championship.

But he's Ray, he won 2 NCs and brought UConn to 3 , so we should worship him, just because everyone is doing it too.

On a scale of 1-10 in being miserable with life, 91 scores a 91

The biggest endorsement Ray could get came from Lebron. Lebron wants Ray to go wherever he goes. That means that despite people thinking Ray is "awful", apparently he still makes it easier for Lebron to find space on the floor. It is a fundamental fact that shooters like Ray make life easier for the great players in the league. Kerr, Paxson, Ainge, Michael Cooper and on and on made guys like Jordan, Bird and Magic more effective. You absolutely, positively had to guard them instead of double teaming the big guns or they would bury you. Ray is still great in that role.

Bashing 91 is out of line. Clearly, you should feel pity and sympathy for this guy.

All the above plus Kyle Lowry
This. They'll then have to add some key contributors like Jodie Meeks, Trevor Ariza, and a decent big like Jordan Hill. Bazz will come off the bench to back up Lowry.

Outside of LeBron (most of the time), the entire Heat roster was awful in the Finals, so I'm not sure it's a fair barometer to use to determine whether or not Ray can play. Plus, with Wade being so banged up, Ray was asked to take on a much bigger role than he's capable of at this point in his career.

It's obviously getting close to the end of the line, but I see no reason Ray can't be productive in a limited role for at least one more season.

Garnett had 3 rebounds in that game (3!) and Pierce was outplayed by Ron Artest while Ray was holding Kobe to 6-24 shooting. All three of them could have played better.

Pierce and Garnett were excellent in this year's finals after Ray daggered them out. I hear Pierce shot an 85.

I'm sure Ray will enter the HOF as a Miami Heat player.

This is the only negative outcome from Thursday. We have to talk about the Miami Heat now. I surely didn't mind them losing in the Finals and certainly didn't cheer for them to win. I wish the Celtics and Knicks would hurry up and get their acts together.

Can I be a Bazz/Allen fan and not a Heat fan?

Ray would be fine as the 9th or 10th person in the rotation - like Belinelli at Spurs.

Why draft Bazz if you want Lowry. Gortat makes most sense here. Remember James always wants the ball at crunch time. Bazz, having played off of Kemba, is perfect for this purpose as he can knock down the open three like Kerr did for Jordan.

Bazz, Wade, Gortat, James, Bosh, Cole, Allen, Birdman, Haslem, Caron? Okafor another guy out there.

Doubt that Melo leaves a dime on the table.

I was waiting for someone to finally say it: this is really why Celtics fans get so butthurt about Ray leaving.

The guy is in his late 30s and still a productive NBA player, cut him some slack. For the record genius, Ray never made it to a Final Four. It was two Sweet 16s and the Elite Eight when he scored 36 against UCLA. Lebron and Ray just went on vacation together and absolutely want to remain together.

dont think they will have enough $ for lowry. hes 28 and hasnt made a ton (relatively), this is his one chance to get paid and there should be plenty of teams willing to bid on him. which is fine, more PT for shabazz.
