Hindsight being 20/20 both Foxx and Abrams would've redshirted last year. In fact, I think they may end up redshirting this year. Smith, Phillips, Williams, Jones, and Davis is an adequate 5 man WR rotation.

We'll still need bodies on special teams.

It's a risky thing to rely on an 18 year old's decision making and knowledge of the playbook in their first year of college football but if their body is ready from a physical standpoint to help and make an impact and to do so more than the older players in front of them then Coach PP should play them. If you look at many of the players that have turned out to be drafted and make NFL rosters they played early on in their careers.....If not as true freshman than as RS Freshman..........

Most college coaches will tell you that they would prefer if possible to redshirt their entire incoming class. On occassion a player comes along who is both physically and mentally ready to play at the college level, and do so in a way that contributes in a major way. Todman was such a player. But Brown redshirted. And occasionally use a true freshman out of necessity. But if you watch, they will often show up on the 2 deep but when playing time comes up, its the 3rd guy who actually gets on the field.

That's a good point. That redshirt year can do amazing things for a program cause it gives the staff a year work with the player on technique, teach the playbook and develop the player physically. The player gets a chance to practice throughout the regular season on the scout team, go through an off season workout program, practice in spring ball, participate in a summer workout program, before going into their second training camp. Most freshmen that make a big impact are redshirt freshmen. It makes more sense for the program to redshirt them.

I saw this interview that coach pasqualoni did. the interviewer asked coach p what player casey cochran most reminded him off and coach p said Drew Brees

Cochran is going to be good. We might be on the verge of 5 years of QB bliss.
