I think Hampton deserved better then a #16 seed. They had a better record this year then last year... yet they received a 13 seed last year. Plus.... I figure if you are a very low seeded team that will be a huge underdog... it would be more fun, and a team would get to experience more of the NCAA tourney atmosphere if you went to a site in a different part of the country.... not a site 15 minutes away in Norfolk. Same thing with Navy...... being rewarded with a trip to College Park.... about 30 minutes from their campus. Well at least Hampton will have alot of their fans in attendance... and the fans will get to see them get pummeled by 50 points in living color.. ... as opposed to on a TV set.

One of the stories in Nan's news items......they took the #4 seed to OT last year. Maybe they give Stanford a game....

i think PSU shoulda been higher than a 4 seed. and IMHO aTm and Delaware shoulda been lower than a 3 seed. I think RU shoulda been higher than a 6 seed and woulda put Purdue as a 3 seed, not 4. in fact, i think Purdue and PSU shoulda been the 3 seeds and Del and aTm shoulda been 4 seeds. but overall it's just nitpicking. i think the committee did a pretty good job.

i will say, a bunch of tennessee fans are completely delusional. they think Tennessee was the strongest 2 seed and should have been placed in the weakest 1 seed's bracket. frankly, Tenn was fortunate to get a 2 seed with 8 losses.

I agree.

I think the selections and seedings suggested that the ACC, Pac-10, and Big-10 were soft, with a few notable exceptions.

I gotta agree with the ESPN panel and particulary Kara Lawson. I think Ohio State got to low a seed. yea, they got bounced by Nebraska twice late in the season, but I think an 8 seed is a raw deal. After they beat Florida (assuming they do) a trouncing byBaylor looms.

The Buckeyes deserved better in my opinion.

I suspect Ohio St was really a #7 that got bumped down to a #8. I bet DePaul and/or Vandy were moved from a #8 to a #7 so that a #1 would not have to play at another team's gym during the first weekend.

Miami. They've got some killer travel ahead of them.

The most southeasternly team gets stuck in the most northwesternly subregional.

Dont really want to whine.... but I will whine. I think Duke had a better profile then MD....... yet not only did Duke not get to be in the Raleigh region, we dont even get to invade our arch enemies home for a few days to hang out. Instead we either get to play a SEC team that is 17-1 on their home floor.... or a mid-major that is about 30 minutes from their campus.

On the other hand... if we survive Nashville...... I think we have a shot to make it to Denver.

I agree. They were my first thought. They have a very dynamic guard duo. But Baylor has very strong guard defense and there will be few penetrations into the lane. They probably deserved a better chance at advancing.

I think Duke got screwed. I thought they were the top 2 seed but it appears that they got the position of the bottom 2 seed. I don't think there is a chance at all that Kentucky would be Duke.

There has to be some chance because they already have this year. :)

Not at this point. KY also beat Tennessee and then lost to them by 37. I suspect the same would happen to KY if they played Duke. And KY lost to LSU in the tourney. This attempt to make KY better than they are at this point is comical.

I may feel differently down the road, but I suspect that KY will not make it to the Elite Eight to meet UCONN. Dare I say that KY has turned to jelly?

That would be my guess, too. It didn't help OSU going 5-5 in their last 10 games and finishing in a tie for second through fifth in the B1G. Placed one rung low at 8 but now higher than a 7. They lost to Illinois who was 11-19, ouch.

OSU did not finish the season well, but I agree they deserved better than a #8 seed. That being said, something that distinguishes them from some other teams ahead of them is that they had a couple of BAD (sub RPI 100) losses, and they had those losses in the final 10 games of the season.
